The festival is free to take part and we welcome donations to support our year round projects and the festival events. Donation’s will help support young people, artists who are out of work due to Covid 19 pandemic and Arts 4 Dementia projects.

We will bring you a mix of shows, music, exclusive footage and interviews, unseen performances, pop up art exhibition, digital statues, premiered for the first time at the virtual festival. Visit the virtual shows, music, creative workshops, festival quiz and enjoy family activities from Friday 17th to Sunday July 19th. We have created an incredible festival. Discover the Bridgwater Quayside Festival in a whole new light and journey around the virtual festival. Get ready and pitch up your tent, put up your flags, take part and create you own festival. It is about YOU this year in your own homes, enjoy the festival.
There will also be a selection of events that will run for the duration of the festival and leading up to the festival so you can take part at any time that suits you. Take part in fitness, dance, recycled art, singing, explore stories with Beth Webb, poetry. As part of BQF2020 Lets Dance Sedgemoor is a project starting soon for Seed, the Arts Council England funded Creative People and Places project for Sedgemoor. The project is organised by Fuse Somerset Outdoor Arts.

The virtual festival hosts music, indoor and outdoor theatre, dance, circus, puppetry, digital arts with performances from local and national artists with free workshops and activities, there is something for everyone.
The Bridgwater Quayside festival and the participatory arts programme is produced and organised by Fuse Somerset Outdoor Arts Fuse supported by Arts Council England developing Outdoor Arts, projects, performances across Somerset celebrating culture and diversity, arts and the environment and recovery form Covid19. The Bridgwater Quayside festival is a commission on behalf of Sedgemoor District Council and supported by The Bridgwater Town Council and and the Bridgwater Cultural Partnership.
Some background – Fuse has been delivering arts projects, parades, performances and events in and around Bridgwater over the last 10 years with the Bridgwater Arts Centre, schools and local youth and community groups offering performances, participatory arts projects, themed events, circus and street arts, outdoor arts and offering training workshops, schools workshop programmes, creating community arts projects in parks, streets, community centres, youth and community workshops, arts trails and outdoor shows.
